Improving balance and reducing weight through the Magnumlite (MGL) Rotor, the Shimano Exsence Spinning Reels feature an asymmetrical MGL rotor design that improves precision lure control by decreasing the startup inertia needed by 22%. Built to be highly advantageous for finesse fishing applications, the Exsence Reels include a Rapid Fire Drag system that allows for quick precision adjustments during the fight, making it easier to set the hook with a higher setting and then adjust to a lower setting so you can land big fish on light line. Buttery-smooth drag performance is further enhanced through the addition of uniquely woven DuraCross drag washers that provide 10x more durability.
Engineered with a super-slow oscillation made possible by the InfinityLoop technology, the Exsense Reels ensure an even line lay for diminished friction during casts and while a fish is pulling drag. Offering an improved gear tooth design, the InfinityXross gear manufacturing spreads the load across a wider surface area to prevent damage caused by stress points while significantly improving gear durability. The Exsence Reels also greatly improve winding power through the Infinity Drive structure of the main shaft that reduces rotational torque and decreases frictional resistance in the reel.
Completed with an Anti-Twist Fin near the line roller to boost line management, stop line sagging, and reduce wind knots from occurring, the flexible polymer fin also prevents line from falling off the bottom of the spool unevenly or wrapping around the spool.
